Trustee Anthony O’Rourke is doing some work to understand LCWO’s place in the community among the many organisations, local, national and international, acting against climate change, pollution, habitat loss, car dominance, food waste, etc.

As part of this work, he has developed an online survey, and would be most grateful if you could take 4 minutes in the next week to fill it out.

  • Read Anthony’s message about the survey below.

Dear Low Carbon West Oxford supporter,

I am Anthony O’Rourke and I am one of the trustees of LCWO. I am contacting you as I am interested in determining the charity’s place in the community among the many organisations, local, national and international, acting against climate change, pollution, habitat loss, car dominance, food waste, etc.

I want to increase LCWO’s impact by partnering with like-minded organisations for certain projects, as well as exploring potential areas for collaboration with local groups and organisations with no explicit environmental focus.

If you have links, networks or contacts with local groups and organisations, would you be prepared to let LCWO know what they are? I am in the process of developing an “organigram” that shows the links between the charity, and its members, to other organisations and groups. I have created an online survey with a range of organisations already listed, but it is not exhaustive so please feel free to “flesh it out” with links I have not considered.

I am also hoping to understand what skills our members have that can be employed to further the aims of the charity. For example, are you a builder or a lobbyist, or work at one of the universities in environmental science, or for a local authority to deliver carbon reductions programs? If so you will undoubtedly have skills that will be useful to help LCWO.

By understanding the skills and networks of LCWO’s members I hope it will empower our charity to do more good for our community and the environment.

The questionnaire takes under 5 minutes to complete, and you can find it here: https://forms.gle/1C43J3SQnJEtsLWo8

With thanks and best wishes,

Anthony
