The new County Transport plan
The Oxfordshire County Council Local Transport and Connectivity Plan is now being consulted on. The vision for the Plan is now “for a zero-carbon Oxfordshire transport system” and aims to cut car trips in Oxfordshire by 25% by 2030  and to increase cycling in Oxfordshire from 600,000 to 1 million cycle trips per week.

But will the policies it includes really deliver this? Oxford Friends of the Earth is running a special online meeting on Tuesday 25th January at 7pm to explain the Plan and discuss how we (and you) might respond.  Join us to be clear on what is in the Plan and to see how you can respond effectively.

We will discuss how we:

A.  Support and ‘hold the line’ on policies we fully support.

B.  Work to strengthen policies where the Plan is weak and needs improvement

C.  Critique the issues where the Plan is unhelpful

You will be sent a zoom link before the meeting,
