Does high consumption make us happier? As much as we like it not to be true, electricity consumption correlates positively with enjoyment. This is a problem for all who wish we used less.

Oxford research is exploring how our activities (and enjoyment) relate to electricity consumption. West Oxford residents, through Low Carbon West Oxford’s ‘West Oxford Energy Challenge’ last July, took part in this research and Dr Phil Grunewald, ECI researcher, is looking forward to sharing some of the results with you at this event.

If using more makes us happier, what happens when we asked your neighbours to reduce demand? Find out – there is a happy twist.

This event follows on from our annual AGM, which is taking place at the same location from 7pm that evening.  Join us for both, and enjoy some drinks in between, or if you are new to LCWO and want to just come along to the talk, please do!
