Support Oxford City Councillors in declaring Climate Emergency @ Oxford Town Hall | United Kingdom

The City Council will vote on a motion declaring Climate Emergency on Monday 28th January.

Rumour has it the motion may well pass. We welcome this step and call a demonstration outside the Town Hall in support. We also note, however, that although the motion commits Council activities to become carbon neutral it does not set a time-scale, nor does it commit the city as a whole to become carbon neutral. We therefore also call on the Council to do even more.

This demonstration is initiated by Oxford Extinction Rebellion and Fossil Free Oxfordshire, but we welcome and encourage all to attend.
