LCWO wildlife lead Hugo and Chair Helen visited Kingfisher Corner yesterday to do the Big Butterfly Count and spotted 1 Gatekeeper, 3 Meadow Browns, 2 Red Admirals, a 1 Comma, 4 Small White and 4 Large White and a Small Copper in the 15 minutes they surveyed.  See their snaps below.

Take part in the Big Butterfly Count – you only need 15 minutes to sit in the sun!

All you need to do to take part in this nationwide surveys (one of the biggest butterfly surveys in the world!) is spend 15 minutes sitting in the sun and looking for butterflies between now and Sunday 9 August.
