Developing Oxford City council's Zero Carbon action plan - a climate cafe with Cllr Tom Hayes @ West Oxford Community Centre | England | United Kingdom

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A TICKETED EVENT AND WILL LIKELY SELL OUT.  LAST FEW TICKETS VIA EVENTBRITE.

Councillor Tom Hayes is leading the development of Oxford City Council’s journey to Zero Carbon. He is joining us us to talk more about the Council’s plans and, importantly, wants to hear what YOU think we need to do as a city to reduce housing, waste, energy, and transport emissions.

Building on the first climate cafe, this meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss the key role of a citizen’s assembly in the development of the Council’s Zero Carbon action plans. And, uniquely, the new plans will seek to promote a fairer and more just local economy as well as accelerate the transition to Zero Carbon.

Tom Hayes is formerly Andrew Smith MP’s Climate and Energy researcher and adviser and Head of UK Campaigns at Oxfam GB, where he led the organisation’s UK climate campaigning.  He is now the City Council’s Cabinet Member for a Safer and Greener Environment.
