How do we clean up Britain’s air? A Clean Air Day discussion [OxFoE event] @ Oxford Town Hall | United Kingdom

Text from facebook event:

Urgent action is needed across all levels of government and business to clean Britain’s toxic air and decarbonise our energy. The opportunity and benefits of moving to clean energy can help us tackle the dangers of polluted air that contributes to thousands of premature deaths.

The Government is failing to act, has been taken to court for not meeting air pollution targets, and continues to oversee a slump in investment in clean energy. It is time for change, for action and for the UK to benefit from the clean energy revolution.

This panel discussion, supported by Oxford Friends of the Earth, opens its doors at 7pm and starts at 7.30pm, and has the following speakers:

Anneliese Dodds (Oxford East MP and Shadow Treasury Minister)

Councillor Tom Hayes (Oxford City Council Cabinet Member for a Zero Carbon Oxford)

Councillor Christopher Hammond (Leader, Southampton City Council)

Fiona Tavner (Oxford Friends of the Earth)

Matt Allen (CEO, Pivot Power)

Chair: Polly Billington (Director, UK100)
